Friday Night Community Class
Join Circle Yoga teachers one Friday night each month for the Off the Mat Community Class. These donation-based classes are designed to allow students to explore yoga practices and philosophy beyond the physical practice of postures or learn about other traditions and modalities that contribute to good health and well being. Yoga teachers might focus on topics such as pranayama, philosophy, Ayurveda, and meditation. Other teachers might share teachings rooted in mindfulness, Reiki, Feldenkrais®, or other systems of practice. Off the Mat classes do not include a practice of yoga postures.
Suggested donation is $5 minimum. Register in advance to reserve your space. Donations will be accepted at the door. These “all levels” classes are open to everyone–from beginners to more experienced students. Like all adult classes at the studio, Off the Mat classes are open to students ages 16 and up.

Opening Creative Channels with the Feldenkrais Method®
with Seth Dellinger
Friday, March 31, 6:00 – 7:00 pm
Is creativity a magical power possessed only by musicians, painters, dancers and other “artists”? Or is it an innate human quality that we all possess, a rich resource that can improve anyone’s life, regardless of age, profession or any other circumstance? If it is, in fact, a universal quality, then why do we so often define people, including ourselves as being “more” or “less” creative? What are some common obstacles that prevent us from accessing our creativity? What can we do to open up our creative channels. This Off the Mat class will explore these questions from the perspective of the Feldenkrais Method®, a unique approach to human development that uses a combination of movement and directed attention to create transformational change.
