Join Circle Yoga teachers once a month for the Off the Mat Community Class. These donation-based classes are designed to allow students to explore yoga practices and philosophy beyond the physical practice of postures or learn about other traditions and modalities that contribute to good health and well being. Yoga teachers might focus on topics such as pranayama, philosophy, Ayurveda, and meditation. Other teachers might share teachings rooted in mindfulness, Reiki, Feldenkrais®, or other systems of practice. Off the Mat classes do not include a practice of yoga postures.
Suggested donation is $5 minimum. Register in advance to reserve your space. Donations will be accepted at the door. These “all levels” classes are open to everyone–from beginners to more experienced students. Like all adult classes at the studio, Off the Mat classes are open to students ages 16 and up.
Kundalini Yoga Practice
with Liz Chabra
Friday, Nov. 10, 6:30-7:45pm
This month we’ll actually be “on the mat” for a Kundalini yoga practice, but don’t expect your typical yoga poses and sequences. An uplifting blend of spiritual and physical practices, Kundalini Yoga incorporates movement, dynamic breathing techniques, meditation, and the chanting of mantras, such as Sat Nam, meaning “truth is my identity.” Suggested minimum donation is $5.
