The foam roller is an excellent tool for developing flexibility and easing muscle soreness. It can also be an incredible strength building tool. Add a fun new dimension to your Pilates practice as we learn how to use the foam roller to strengthen your core. Through a combination of seated, standing, and lying Pilates exercises, we will work to release muscle tension, improve joint flexibility, and develop core strength, balance and coordination. Prior Pilates experience is strongly recommended. Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for a movement class. All students should be able to get up and down to the floor without assistance. Foam rolling is not appropriate for students with osteoporosis. In order to participate in all of the exercises, all students must bring their own full round, 31" or 36" long foam roller, which can be purchased at Circle Yoga, a sporting goods store, or online.
