How do I start using my 3 for $33 offer?

You can attend any 3 classes on our weekly schedule, space permitting. 3 for $33 students cannot reserve space in advance. Since space is available on a first come, first served basis, we recommend that you arrive at least 15 minutes before class to sign in at the front desk. You may sign in up to 30 minutes in advance. You have one year to use your 3 for $33 offer.

What happens after I complete my 3 for $33 offer?

Once you’ve completed your first 3 classes, you can register for your class(es) of choice with prorated fees. Most Circle Yoga students register to reserve space in their favorite classes and enjoy the benefits of a regular teacher and student community. This is part of what makes the studio special. Our students and teachers get to know each other over the course of a session--and often over the course of years--together. That said, students who need more flexibility can still register for a class and just use make-ups to take the classes that work best for their schedule.

Can I attend class as a drop-in?

Drop-in students are welcome, space permitting, for $22 plus tax. There are no advance reservations for drop-in students. Drop-in students should arrive at least 10-15 minutes early to sign in and pay at the front desk. Students may sign in up to 30 minutes in advance of the posted class start time.

Do you offer a class pass?

No. Circle Yoga students register for a specific class (or classes) to benefit from a regular teacher and student community. That said, students who need more flexibility can use make-ups from their registered class to take classes at their convenience, space permitting.

How do I make up missed classes?

Registered students can make up missed classes anytime within the same session, space permitting. You may transfer your make-ups to household family members. You may also do make-ups in advance of missed classes. Sign in at the front desk when you come as a make-up, and please wait until the desk person confirms that space is available.

Is there a discount if I register for multiple classes?

Discounts apply if you register for more than one class for the full session: $19 per class for the first registration, $17 per class for the second registration, and $15 per class for each additional registration. The multi-class discount applies to individuals and to household family members. The multi-class discount only applies if registered by first week of each new session.

What do I wear to class?

No fancy yoga clothes required—wear comfortable clothes that you can move and stretch in. You will be barefoot in class.

Do I need to bring my own yoga mat?

We provide yoga mats, blankets, straps, and other props for student use, free of charge. You are welcome to bring your own mat if you like. The studio provides a natural mat cleaner and cleaning cloths in each studio.

What should I leave in the dressing room?

Please leave coats, shoes, and bulky items in the dressing rooms. The women’s dressing room on the 1st level, directly behind the front desk. The men’s dressing room is at the top of the stairs on the 2nd level.

What should I do with my cell phone and valuables?

Please take valuable items with you into the studios, rather than leaving them in a dressing room. Silence your cell phones before entering the studio for class. Even a vibrating phone can be disruptive, so please turn off all audible notifications.

What if I’m running late for class?

If you are registered for a class and running late, call the front desk (202-686-1104) and we will gladly save your space. If you are registered and we haven’t heard from you by the posted class time, your space may be given to a student who is waiting. We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals within the first 15 minutes of class.

Can I bring my child to an adult class?

No, due to insurance requirements, children must be at least 16 years old to attend classes on the adult class schedule. However, Circle Yoga has kids and family classes that are developmentally appropriate and fun for kids.

Where should I park?

Circle Yoga does not have a parking lot. Our students typically use free 2-hour parking spaces on residential streets around the studio. There are also some metered spaces on Northampton Street, in front of the studio, or on Connecticut Avenue. If you are driving, we recommend that you give yourself a few extra minutes to find parking.

What does it mean that Circle Yoga is a cooperative?

In 2012, Circle Yoga became Circle Yoga Cooperative, the first yoga cooperative in the DC area. The studio is owned by its staff and teachers and governed by an elected board of directors, which includes two student members. Students and friends of the studio can choose to become members of the Circle Yoga Cooperative by paying a nominal $20 fee per calendar year. Learn more.
