Yoga for a Healthy Back

Coping with back trouble—or trying to avoid it? Step by step, this class will give you the alignment points and yoga poses you need to know to stay healthy and pain-free. Each class meeting will include a well-rounded practice with stretching, strengthening, and myofascial release, starting mostly on the floor and working our way up to more challenging standing poses and (optional!) moderate backbends. We’ll cover a lot of ground, but you don’t have to worry about remembering everything we do. You’ll get a detailed handout at the end of every class, so you can feel confident about taking the practice home. We’ll also talk about what you might be doing outside of your practice to aggravate your back, and how you might correct it. Class size is limited so Bonnie can address individual needs.
