Yoga Level 1-2 and Meditation
In Yoga Level 1-2 and Meditation, the physical practice of asana is followed by a period of sitting meditation. This class emphasizes building strength and endurance in postures, refining alignment, and working with more challenging variations on basic postures. In combination, the practice of asana and meditation can support the cultivation of the physical benefits of yoga, and the mental stability necessary to sustain concentration and mindfulness both during the practice and off the yoga mat. Students can expect up to 10 minutes of meditation at the end of class.
