Betsy is a clinical social worker who has worked in a range of settings, including schools, clinics and in her own private practice where she provides therapy to children, adolescents and adults. She believes yoga and mindfulness are powerful tools to strengthen awareness and healthy coping skills in order to develop self-compassion, gratitude and meaningful connection to others. In class, she aims to create a safe, non-judgmental and playful space for her students to find joy both in movement and in stillness. Betsy completed the Budding Yogis Teaching Yoga to Kids and Every Kids Yoga for Children with Special Needs Certifications in 2015.
