Geneva Moss

Geneva's first yoga teacher, who was in her 80s at the time, impressed upon her the idea that yoga offers us choices to live a life of good health and well-being. In the decades since, Geneva has fully embraced that teaching, and she has committed herself to the study and practice of Tantra Hatha Yoga. Her goal in teaching is to help her students be more aware and connected to mind, body, breath, and energy, so that they are better able to make choices that bring them long-term good health and well-being.

Geneva began teaching yoga in Amman, Jordan in 2005. She is a certified ParaYoga teacher and registered 500-hour Yoga Alliance teacher. She continues to study extensively with her teachers Yogarupa Rod Stryker and Pandit Rajmani Tigunait. Geneva writes, travels, and offers the wisdom of yoga and meditation both in private and public classes, workshops, festivals, and retreats. She also enjoys sharing the gifts (and fun!) of yoga with families and children. She completed the Budding Yogis’ Teaching Yoga to Kids Certification in 2009.

What to expect in class:
Geneva creates a safe, warm, and welcoming space where students are encouraged to listen and respond to their bodies' changing needs. Students can rely on her to provide external alignment cues to keep them safe, and humor and curiosity to explore the practice. They will also learn more about how postures and breath work can move energy inside the body. In Geneva's classes, students can expect to build heat, strength, and steadiness through a combination of holding postures and dynamic movement. They will also work with techniques to soothe the nervous system, increase inner awareness, and move with more comfort and ease.
