Jessica's many years of training, performing, and teaching ballet and modern dance led her to Pilates. After her first introduction to the method, she was struck by its immediate and long-term effects. Pilates impresses her in its ability to strengthen and lengthen, improve posture and flexibility, as well as help in the recovery and the prevention of injuries. As Joe Pilates said, Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness, and practice of the method allows one to perform regular and challenging activities with more ease and joy. Trained in Classical Pilates technique, Jessica has been teaching in the DC area for over 10 years and never tires of seeing what the method brings to the students in her classes. She is certified through Power Pilates and The Physical Mind Institute.
