Reiki is a gentle healing practice that reduces stress and brings balance to your system. In a Reiki session, you lie on a massage table in comfortable clothing while the Reiki practitioner places her hands lightly on or just above your body. After a very short time, you begin to settle into a quiet state of rhythmic breathing. You experience deep relaxation as your muscles release and your system balances. Reiki practice is meditative and non invasive.
Reiki treatment helps ease anxiety, relieve pain, release stress, improve sleep, and manage the side effects of medication and/or chemotherapy. It can also help with digestion, depression, headaches and other health issues. Over time, Reiki practice may open an inner spiritual connection and a deep sense of wellness. While the effects of Reiki treatment are subtle, they may empower you to deal more effectively with your stresses.
Reiki is safe for anyone, at any age, and any level of health. There are no known contraindications.

Our Reiki Practitioner, Marion Werner
Marion Werner has been practicing Reiki and Healing Touch for over 10 years. She is a Reiki Master, receiving her master/teacher initiation from Claudia Jones, Reiki Master and wellness director at Yoga Thailand in Koh Samui, Thailand. She has also studied with Reiki Master and author, Pamela Miles. She is a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner through Healing Touch International and she received professional training in mind-body medicine through the Center for Mind-Body Medicine in Washington D.C. and the Mind-Body Medicine Program at Georgetown University School of Medicine. She also has a Masters in Education.
Marion is committed to offering compassionate, noninvasive, holistic care to people facing life’s challenges including anxiety, depression, pain, and illness, particularly cancer. With light touch and a gentle presence, Marion’s treatment engages your natural ability to heal and encourages balance and well-being. She hopes her practice will help you connect more deeply with your inner wisdom, sense of self, and joyful spirit.
Marion offers Reiki trainings to anyone interested in learning to practice Reiki. Daily Reiki self-practice, easily learned at the First Degree level, is an effective resource for maintaining balance and well being.
