Spring Renewal Yoga Retreat
with Alex Phelan and Bonnie Foote
Friday, May 10 - Sunday, May 12
Stop and smell the lilacs this spring! Join Alex and Bonnie for a rejuvenating yoga and movement retreat in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just 2 hours from DC.
Don't delay! Registration closes Thursday, May 2.
Sevenoaks Retreat Center lies on 120 acres of woods and fields near the Shenandoah Valley, with gorgeous practice facilities, cozy sleeping accommodations spread across several homey buildings, and a beautiful dining hall with spectacular fresh food—some of it grown onsite.
During free time, you can explore Skyline Drive, hike Old Rag, bike the Shenandoah Valley, visit historical towns or wineries and farms in the valley, tube along the Rapidan River, or just stroll and relax on the peaceful grounds at Sevenoaks.
About the Weekend
We'll offer a variety of yoga experiences over the course of the weekend, all rooted in our strong understanding of anatomy and alignment. The schedule will include at least three regular yoga classes, one of Alex's popular Stretch, Strengthen and Align classes, a guided meditative walk, a myofascial release / restoratives class, and an intro session to make any walk in the woods (or park or cityscape) into a whole-body exercise. Classes will be safe and challenging for all levels.
Feeling contemplative? A copy of Pema Chodron's Practicing Peace will be our gift to each of you when you arrive. There are tea and coffee supplies in every building to help you curl up with a book or chat over a cup of tea with your retreat community. After our evening restoratives class on Saturday night, join us for a bonfire.
Want even more yoga practice? You also have the option to purchase a private session with either Alex or Bonnie over the course of the weekend.
Spring is the perfect time to get out of town, visit the mountains, breathe some fresh air, eat clean healthy food, recommit to your practice… and renew yourself while you’re at it. Come join us, and enjoy all that yoga and the season have to offer!
About Alex and Bonnie
We both teach regular classes at Circle Yoga and work together to coordinate the studio's 200-hour teacher training. We both learned how to teach yoga about a decade ago at YogaWorks, in NY and LA respectively, and we've each built on that training to help our students create healthy, balanced bodies and minds through a thoughtful, light-hearted asana practice.
