From Chaos to Calm: Practices for a Balanced Nervous System

This six-week workshop series is now underway, but you can still join in. When you register for the full series or for individual workshops, you will receive recordings for sessions that have already passed.

This is probably not where you expected to be right now: juggling a new way of living or working, disconnected from social supports after yet another covid curveball, feeling powerless as each day brings more news of suffering in the world. This fall, join Circle Yoga for a special six-week virtual series where we will explore yoga and mindfulness practices that can help you balance your nervous system during turbulent times like these.

Discover a new baseline of inner comfort and calm

When life is stressful or uncertain, the nervous system naturally steps up to protect us and help us find safety and stability. Problems arise when stress becomes chronic and we lose the ability to return from states of arousal to a place of balance and relative calm.

A nervous system in overdrive may manifest as insomnia, digestive problems, muscle tension and pain, memory and cognitive issues, anxiety, depression, overwhelm, numbness, etc. If left unchecked, this imbalance can bathe your organs in a cortisol cocktail, potentially leading to chronic and autoimmune conditions.

Learning to recognize that your nervous system is out of balance is the first step to building your capacity to find more ease, enjoyment, and freedom in your life. The yoga and mindfulness inspired practices included in this series can help you do just that. We have an incredible lineup of teachers who will share practical techniques you can use in your daily life to discover a new baseline of inner comfort and balance.

Each session will be recorded, and recordings will be available through November 15. Register for the full series with discounted fees, or choose individual sessions to attend. Partial scholarships are available.

Fees and Registration

Full Series — $150 for CYC co-op members / $165 for non-members
Individual Session - $30 per person

Refund Policies
If you are registered for the full series and you need to cancel your registration, contact us to request a refund at least 48 hours before the first session. Your registration fee will be refunded minus a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be given for individual sessions.
