Core Galore! Activate Your Core Muscles For Stability, Balance and Ease
Fri Oct 9
The core muscles of our torso and pelvis, including our hip flexors, abdominals, back muscles, pelvic floor and respiratory diaphragm create a dynamic network within which our spine can move in infinite directions. By creating alternating states of stability and mobility, these muscles work together to help us do everything from breathe to sit to run to garden to yoga. In this workshop, we will look at the way these muscles are supposed to work together, as well as some common postural habits that can prevent them from doing so. We'll do a practice to both release the muscles of the core that are often tight or stuck and to strengthen those muscles that commonly need more stability. All levels and physical abilities are welcome but please email us at email@example.com if you have specific spinal conditions that need to be accommodated.
This workshop will be offered on Zoom. Registrants will receive the Zoom link and password 24 hours prior to the scheduled workshop start time. If you register within 24 hours of the workshop, we'll send the Zoom link shortly after we receive your registration. Registration closes 10 minutes before the workshop begins. Workshops are not recorded, so be sure to join us for the live event! Questions? Email firstname.lastname@example.org.
