Hips and Hearts: A Workshop to Create Opening and Ease
Thu Jul 30

This year has brought a series of heart- and gut-wrenching circumstances. Every experience we've ever had resides in our body, whether it is in our awareness or not. How are our bodies holding these experiences?

In this practice we will work with our hips and hearts. Our hips are the “Grand Central Station” connecting our upper body and our legs, providing support, stability and mobility. They are also a repository for tension and emotions. Our heart center — the Anahata chakra located at the center of our chest — is associated with the qualities of unconditional love and compassion.

Through asana and pranayama practice, we will create more opening and ease in our hips and heart center. And, as we touch deeply into the connection between these two energy centers, we find emotional release and greater balance.

This workshop will be offered on Zoom. Registrants will receive the Zoom link and password 24 hours prior to the scheduled workshop start time. If you register within 24 hours of the workshop, we'll send the Zoom link shortly after we receive your registration. Registration closes 10 minutes before the workshop begins. Workshops are not recorded, so be sure to join us for the live event! Questions? Email
