Recruit Your Glutes!
Sat Apr 7
For many of us, weak and imbalanced gluteal muscles can, over time, lead to pain in our yoga practice as well as in sitting, standing, or walking. In this workshop we will look at the pivotal role that the three gluteal muscles (maximus, minimus, and medius) play in standing, walking, and some of the most common poses of the yoga practice. We will work with balancing strength and flexibility in the hips to stabilize the pelvis and help alleviate common causes of pain such as sciatic pain, sacroiliac pain, and low back pain. Appropriate for students of all levels, Gentle Yoga and above.
