Policies
Late Cancels and No Shows
If you are unable to make it to class, please cancel your reservation at least 2 hours in advance, and your class credit will be returned to your account for later use.
If you cancel a class reservation after the 2-hour cancelation window has closed, whether for in-studio or livestream attendance, a $10 LATE CANCEL FEE will be charged to your account, but you will retain your class credit to use at a later date.
For In-Studio Reservations: If you do not cancel your reservation, your class credit will be applied to that class, and the teacher will be paid for your attendance. For repeat no-shows, the studio reserves the right to charge a $10 NO SHOW FEE. If the class is recorded, you will still receive the recording link via email after class.
Space for in-studio attendance is limited, so we appreciate your cooperation in making sure that no in-studio space is wasted.
For Livestream Reservations: If you do not cancel your reservation, your class credit will be applied to that class, and the teacher will be paid for your attendance. If the class is recorded, you will still receive the recording via email after class.
Late Arrivals
If you have reserved space in class at the studio and are running late, please call the studio at (202) 686-1104 to let us know you're on your way. We'll be glad to hold your space. If your class is full and we don't hear from you by 5 minutes after the scheduled class start time, your space may be given to another student who is waiting.
Waitlist Policies for In-Studio Classes
- Joining the waitlist for an in-person class commits you to taking the class if space becomes available, unless you actively remove yourself from the list. If you no longer want to take the class, log into your account and click the WAITLIST button to remove your name from the waitlist.
- If you are pulled from the waitlist but are no longer available to take the space, follow the directions in the email or text notification to remove yourself from the class, or contact us. If you are not able to come to class and we do not hear from you, the class credit will be deducted from your account.
- We close the waitlist 60 minutes before the class start time, which gives you at least 60 minutes to get to class if space opens up.
Membership Terms and Policies
PAYMENT TERMS
Membership fees are due in advance each month and are non-refundable. All memberships require an initial commitment of 3 months and automatically renew monthly until paused or canceled by the member. All membership sales are final and non-transferable. We do not prorate memberships.
CANCELLATION
You can cancel your membership at any time through your account dashboard. Early cancellations — those before the 3-month commitment is met — will incur a $75 early cancellation fee. Beyond the initial 3-month commitment, you can cancel your plan at any time, and you will not be charged for the next monthly membership renewal.
If you cancel your membership and rejoin at a later date, your new monthly fees will be based on member pricing that is publicly posted on our website at the time you rejoin.
MEMBERSHIP PAUSE
You may pause your membership for up to 60 days during your membership year without it impacting your monthly member pricing. One membership pause per year is free of charge. Additional pauses in a given year will be charged at $35 each, with a limit of 60 total days paused in a year.
Class Pass Terms and Policies
PAYMENT TERMS
Payment for a Class Pass is due before the student takes a class. Reservations made with Class Passes may be made up to 30 days in advance. In addition, each Class Pass comes with the following terms and limitations:
- Intro Offer | 5 for $55 — This Class Pass includes 5 visits and expires 30 days from the purchase date. It is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- 10 Class Pass — This Class Pass includes 10 visits and expires 6 months from the purchase date. It is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Drop-In — A Drop-In is only purchased when you reserve space in a single class on a specific date and time. If you need to cancel a reservation made with a Drop-In, and if you cancel at least 2 hours before the class start time, the Drop-in fee will be credited to your Circle Yoga account and may be used toward the future purchase of a Drop-In or other Circle Yoga purchase. The Drop-in will not remain on your account as an unused Class Pass.
We are not able to roll unused class credits over from one Class Pass purchase to another.
Refund Policies
For class refund policies, see Membership Terms and Policies and Class Pass Terms and Polices above.
Workshops — Unless otherwise noted on our website, workshop and workshop series refunds are provided minus a 20% administrative fee if the student cancels at least 48 hours before the workshop or series begins. No refunds are given within 48 hours of the workshop or series.
Summer Camp — See the summer camp page for full details about camp refunds, cancellations and transfers.
Trainings — Check the each individual training for details on refund policies and administrative fees.
Gift Certificates — Gift certificates expire 5 years from the date of purchase and are non-refundable.
Holiday Closures and Studio Breaks
The studio is closed on the Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving Day. While we sometimes host special holiday workshops, we do not offer regular classes on these holidays.
In addition, we take two breaks of approximately one week per year:
- one during the week leading up to Labor Day
- one at the end of the year (including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day).
These breaks give us some extra time for deep cleaning in the studios and for our staff and teachers to take a break. Students will receive details of specific days off at least one month in advance, and, if requested, they will be able to transfer unused credits from the week off to the following month, or extend the expiration date on an active pass.
Family Yoga Participation
Family Yoga is a two-participant class. The per-class fee covers one adult/child pair for Family Yoga. This is the only class for which the fee for one class covers two participants. If you have more than two family members participating in a Family Yoga class, those additional family members (children or adults) must sign up separately. For more information and assistance in registering additional participants, contact us.
Teens in Adult Classes
Teens ages 16 and up may attend any adult classes and are welcome to attend without an adult. Teens ages 14 and 15 may attend an adult class with a parent or accompanying adult. Kids 13 and younger are not permitted in adult classes.
Private Session / Massage Cancellations
Please notify your massage therapist or private session teacher at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel an appointment. Full payment is required if cancellation is made less than 24 hours in advance.
Communication and Privacy
Circle Yoga will send messages to you via email and text through Walla. You may opt out of marketing email messages and/or text messages at any time by logging onto your Walla account or by emailing Circle Yoga to request a change in your communication settings. You will still receive transactional notifications by email.
We do not sell your personal information. We share your data with Walla (our booking software) and Stripe (our payment processor) only to the extent necessary to provide our services. These parties are required to protect your data. Learn more about our privacy policies on our website.
Weather-Related Class Cancellations
When making decisions about weather-related delays or cancellations, we do our best to assess the relative safety of roads and sidewalks around the studio, and how those conditions may or may not change within the coming hours. We need to consider travel conditions not only for our students but for our teachers and staff, most of whom do not live in the immediate neighborhood.
Any weather-related class adjustments or cancellations will be posted on our website and announced on studio voicemail at least one hour before the scheduled start time of a class. Check the Circle Yoga home page, the class schedule page, or call studio voicemail at 202-686-1104 for updates. Here's what else you can expect:
- Even if it's not safe to travel to the the studio, most of our teachers are able to move their classes to an all-virtual format. So, if the weather outside is frightful, you can still practice with us on Zoom!
- If a class is completely canceled, students who have signed up in advance will be removed from the roster, returning that class credit to their account.
- If a hybrid class moves to an all-virtual format, students who have signed up for in-studio attendance will be removed from the roster and can choose to 1) save that class credit for a future class, or 2) visit the class schedule page to sign up for virtual attendance instead.
- You can receive text notifications about class cancellations or adjustments if 1) you have signed up in advance for that day's class, and 2) you have a current cell phone number in your student profile.
- Students who wish to cancel an in-person class reservation due to weather conditions, even if class is not cancelled, may do so without incurring a Late Cancel Fee. Contact us to request the cancellation.
- We do not issue refunds for weather-related cancellations. When a class credit is returned to a student's account as part of weather-related class cancellations or adjustments, that class credit may be used within the same membership month or by the expiration date on the student's pass pass. If your class is canceled your membership month or pass expires within the week, contact us to request an extension.
- If there is widespread power or internet outage, we will not able to to update our website or studio voicemail.
