Walla and Membership FAQs

I can't get into my livestream class! What do I do?

If your class is about to begin and something goes wrong, call 202-686-1104 with any issues during regular business hours or send a support request to the front desk. We’ll send you the direct Zoom link and get you into class as quickly as possible.

Why don't you offer unlimited memberships?

As a cooperative, we’re committed to equitable business practices, sustainability, and supporting our wonderful teachers and staff with fair, competitive wages. Our class prices are thoughtfully set to help cover our expenses while ensuring our teachers feel respected and valued for the work they do. While we understand the appeal of unlimited memberships, offering them at very low per-class rates doesn’t align with the values and goals that guide our community. Thanks for understanding and being part of what makes Circle Yoga special!

What happened to the unusued class credits I had in CowTinker?

All of your unused class credits were moved from from CowTinker to Walla. If you think you might be missing any class credits, just reach. If you're missing credits, we'll be sure to add them to your new account.

When does my membership start?

Your membership starts on the day you join and renews one month later, on the same day. So, if you join on June 25, your next payment will be processed on July 25, and your class credits will be reset that day. Your membership will renew that day each subsequent month, until you pause or cancel it. If you'd like to pay for your membership now so that you can start reserving space in classes starting after June 22, we can process the payment now and set the start date for your membership to June 23, or a later date.

Can I roll unused classes over from one month to the next?

If you don't get a chance to use all your class credits in a month, those class credits are not rolled over to the following month. But don't worry—if you can't make it to the studio, you can still join classes virtually, or sign up for class to receive the recording (with 14 days of access). We hope these options help you stay connected and keep practicing, even when life gets busy! Exceptions may be made in case of injury or medical emergencies.

What happens if I sign up for 4 classes per month, but I take class on Thursdays and there are 5 Thursdays that month?

Anytime you want to take classes beyond the 4, 8, or 12 per month that come with your membership, you can take advantage of the discounted $24 member drop-in rate. If you try to book space in a class and you're out of class credits for that month, the system will prompt you to purchase a $24 drop-in.

How do I cancel my class reservation?

To cancel a class reservation, if you're using a browser, first log into your account. The first screen you'll see is "My Schedule." To the right of each of the classes you have signed up for, you'll see two red links: "Cancel" and "Add a Guest." Just click the link to cancel, and you're all set! If you're using the app, from the home screen, where it says "Hello, [your name]!" click on the arrow to the right of the class you'd like to cancel. Then, at the bottom of the screen, at the right, you'll see "Cancel."

When I try to update my password, I'm getting a message that says "unable to establish a secure connection. What can I do?

3. Turn off your router and turn it back on.

If I decide not to join as a monthly member, will my co-op membership still be active?

Yes, if you joined the co-op with a $20 membership fee in the last year, your co-op membership is still valid. To see when you purchased your co-op membership, follow these steps:

1. Log into Walla

2. Click on the Manage Account link under "Hello [Your Name]!" in the top right.

3. Click on Your Transactions to see your purchase history. If you joined pre-Walla, your co-op membership is valid for one year from the date of purchase.

We'll continue to make the annual co-op membership fee available for anyone who wants to be a co-op member without a monthly renewal membership for classes.

General Studio FAQs

Do I need to bring a yoga mat?

We have Manduka yoga mats available for use in each studio, though plenty of students choose to bring their own mat. If you borrow a studio mat, please use the mat spray and cleaning cloths provided to wipe down your mat at the end of class, and leave your mat to dry.

Is there parking at the studio?

There are plenty of residential streets with free parking surrounding the studio. Unless you have a Zone 3 permit, parking is limited to two hours on weekdays, but there are no time restrictions on Saturdays and Sundays. The private parking lots near the studio are not for Circle Yoga students.

What happens if I'm running late for an in-person class?

If you have reserved space in class and are running late, please call the studio to let us know you're on your way. We'll be glad to hold your space. If your class is full and we don't hear from you by 5 minutes after the scheduled class start time, your space may be given to another student who is waiting.

Can my teen attend an adult class?

Teens ages 16 and up may attend any adult classes and are welcome to attend without an adult. Teens ages 14 and 15 may attend an adult class with a parent or accompanying adult. Kids 13 and younger are not permitted in adult classes.

How do I take a virtual class with a partner or friend on one device?

For family members or friends who share one device to take a class together, each participant needs to sign up for that class using their individual student accounts. When it's time for class to start, you can still join using one device that is logged into one member's account. As long as other family members have signed up separately, your names will appear on the class roster and your teacher will be credited for your participation. We appreciate your help in ensuring the class roster reflects all the students attending!
